Little Miss Kaycee and Mr. Brendan...

A friend wanted to surprise her friend by getting some shots of her kids while she was watching them. It was very spur of the moment and I was very certain I was going to botch it. Both of the kids were really well behaved and made it that much easier to get some that I am personally proud of. I shot her and her brother as they played at the park and these are just some of the results.

TWO SHOOTS OF THE TWINS.....

So a co-worker allowed me to build on my portfolio using his twins as subjects twice this year. There is something so very special about the bond that twins share and it can't be explained, it has to be seen. The little lady was a total ham. Her brother, not so much. Mom tells me he gets his dislike for the camera from dad. :) All in all I think we captured some truly genuine moments and I plan on returning to try and get many more. Thanks for the opportunity Heick family. Your little ones truly are special.

FRENCHIE'S GIRLS.......

Here are some shots from a shoot I did for a friend. It seems all the people I photograph can be counted as a friend by the time it's all over I guess. :) Thank you Herve, Nathalie, and definitely Miss Maeva. You guys rock!

WELCOME TO MY NEW BLOG...

This is my first ever blog. Welcome to my site. My name is Doug Scroggins and I am a semi-professional photographer in the Davenport, Iowa area. I do a great deal of photography when I am not working at my full time job as a Police Officer for the city. I have always had a love for photography and last November I got much more serious about it. I have done several photo shoots since then, mostly centered around families and "senior" type shoots. I have done some work on maternity and couples but my specialty seems to be capturing children in the essence of who they are. I hope to post on here often so please check back regularly for updates and feel free to comment or just say hi. Thanks again for stopping by.
